Cordelia Johnney

Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Stonewater Housing

Cordelia is the Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) for Stonewater (a national Housing Association that is one of the ten biggest in the UK). She is responsible for the strategy and operational delivery of an inclusive and holistic approach to EDI that meets both the organisation’s future capability needs across the business and wider organisation and cultural transformation agenda. Under her leadership Stonewater was named a Top 10 Outstanding Employer in the national Investing in Ethnicity Maturity Matrix.

She has been developing and delivering Stonewater’s successfully recognised EDI programme of work for the last 9 years. She recently become the Co-Chair of the Chartered Institute of Housings (CIH) ED&I Steering Group. Cordelia is also one of the new Co-Chairs of the London and South East Diversity Group championing EDI across the housing sector.

In 2022 saw Cordelia become an Inside Housing EDI Woman of the Year for the second time and earning a special commendation for her EDI work across the Housing Sector.

In 2020 Cordelia was named one of the EDI Housing Heroes and gained national recognition for her EDI work in Housing and making Stonewater EDI Housing Thought Leaders.

She has over 30 years Equality and Diversity professional experience, working in the Community, Public and Private sectors. She began her career working in Race Equality Councils and went on to the Commission for Race Equality specialising in complainant aid and race equality, where her passion for all things EDI pushed her to become a more generic equality officer and campaigner for all equality and diversity change.

Cordelia is committed to sharing her experience and knowledge recently speaking at EDI national events for the NHS, External Mentoring Programmes for Housing Diversity Network and the BBC and Connex Leadership Networks at their International BLM event.

Abhishek Kulkarni

Co-Chair of Race & Ethnicity Network, Tesco

Abhishek has 4+ years’ experience working in delivery focussed roles across the Energy, Utilities, and Retail sector. Starting his career on a Sales & Marketing Graduate Scheme at British Gas/Centrica in 2018, Abhishek has worked across a broad array of teams mainly across Product Development and Digital Experience. Currently working as a Strategy and Development Manager at Tesco Online within the Pricing remit working across Technology, Fulfilment and Operations.

Abhishek is also the Co-Chair of the Race & Ethnicity network at Tesco, one of 6 employee resource groups at the company. Prior to this he was the Chair of the Race & Ethnicity Network at British Gas/Centrica where his accomplishments led to be listed in Empower/Yahoo Finance Top 100 Ethnic Minority Future leaders 2021. He is incredibly passionate about diversity and inclusion writing several blogs across topics of racism, microaggressions and role models in the workplace.

Yinka Bolaji

Executive Director, Property and Development, Wandle Housing Association

Currently Executive Director for Property and Development at Wandle HA, a housing association with 7000 properties in South London. Yinka leads teams that create and develop new homes and maintains or improves existing homes to required standard and optimises value of £3 billion property portfolio. 

Yinka was previously Portfolio Management Director at Genesis Housing Association and Head of Portfolio and Business Planning at Anchor Trust. He also worked on various development roles at Anchor Trust. Yinka has a degree in Quantity Surveying and a MBA. He is a Leadership 2025 alumni and Non-Executive Director at First Gardens Cities Homes, a registered provider with 2000 homes in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire.
