Honest Conversations: Race, Equity and Inclusion In Housing
Thought Leadership Report
Connex’s first thought leadership report aims to inspire tangible action through first-hand experiences and honest conversations with Housing and out-of-sector executive leaders.
Many reports have been published on diversity and inclusion since the start of the BLM movement, but none of them have covered personal experiences in such a candid way. This report faces the issue of race, equality and inclusion head-on.
The report looks at the sector as a whole and includes contributions from registered providers, professional services and other Housing organisations. But we think that the sector should look beyond itself and learn from other industries. And that’s why the report features thought leaders from Network Rail, Co-op Group, Hogan Lovells US, Inc Arts UK and others.
There are five key questions raised in the report, in the form of articles:
• #BAMEOver: Should We Stop Using The Term BAME?
• How Can We Tackle Unconscious Bias in Executive Recruitment?
• How Can We Be A Good Leadership Ally In The Workplace?
• BLM: What Has Changed with Race and Workplace Diversity?
• How Can We Drive Organisational Success Through Inclusive Leadership?
In each article you fill find actionable takeaways that will help you achieve meaningful change within your organisation, sector and wider society.
“The most important thing for us is that the conversations are just the beginning. We’ll continue to push leaders to take what they’ve learned and implement it in their organisations so we can nurture sustained change. And we’ve been gratified to see the practical impact that we’ve catalysed in the short time that we’ve been operating.”- Tunde Hinton, Founder & MD, Connex Leadership Networks
