Mark became Chief Executive of VIVID in 2017 following his role as Chief Executive of Sentinel and previously as Group Commercial Director at Affinity Sutton, now Clarion. Mark’s well-known in the sector with over 25 years of experience in housing and is a key business figure in the south of England and beyond.

At VIVID, the focus is on driving customer-focused priorities, improving customer service, developing customer influence, and increasing the supply of new affordable homes.

Mark has a strong commercial background, a master’s degree in business administration, and serves as Chair for the National Housing Federation’s South East Sounding Board and Business South’s Housing Group.

Alison Muir

Alison Muir

Non-Executive Director (NED), Newlon Trust

Alison is Non-Executive Director (NED) of Newlon Group, a housing association providing affordable homes primarily in north and east London and is a member of their Resident Services Committee.

She is also trustee of Outward Housing who provide a diverse range of specialist support and care services for young and older people.

Alison was formerly a NED of Clarion Housing Association and has an extensive background in housing operations and customer services.

She has authored articles published in Inside Housing and the National Housing Federation and held senior leadership roles within local authority, private sector, G15 and national housing associations and the homelessness charity sector.

Alison also has an Executive MBA from Henley Business School.

Jamie Ratcliff

Co-Founder, Place Base Ltd.

Jamie is Co-Founder of Place Base Ltd. a consultancy offering strategic advisory services to organisations working in and around the housing industry, specialising in strategy, funding, partnerships and political engagement.
 
He has 20 years’ experience working at a senior level in the public and not-for-profit sectors at local, national and regional levels. He has overseen the completion of affordable homes for over 150,000 people, implemented significant organisational and cultural change whilst increasing customer satisfaction and colleague engagement, personally negotiated multi-billion-pound affordable housing settlements, established a charitable foundation with a business plan to create £1bn of social value in a decade, coordinated strategy, political and media engagement for the G15 largest London housing associations and successfully launched the UK’s first publicly available database of criminal landlords.
 
Jamie lives in Bristol with his inspirational wife, two mischievous children and an engaging border terrier.

Income Maximisation Director, Mobysoft

Mark has spent the last 25 years working across the sector specialising in Income Management and Tenancy Sustainment over the last 15.    Mark works as Mobysoft’s Income Maximization Director supporting social housing providers with training, support and consultancy.   He loves being in front of customers and has delivered over 500 onsite sessions over the last 3 years.  

Before joining Mobysoft, Mark was Optivo’s (now Southern Housing) Director of Customer Accounts & Lettings.   Before that Mark was Head of Income for Amicus Horizon and Optivo for 9 years delivering successful income and financial inclusion teams – teams focused on delivering outstanding levels of customer service mixed with smart use of tech and automation. 

Mark has also held roles overseeing customer experience and complaints and used the first 10 years of his work in social housing supporting local authorities with managing temporary accommodation.
