Catherine’s significant experience in senior operational roles, up to Executive Director level, means that she understands the challenges of balancing the duties of the day job with the management of change.
Catherine has over twenty-five years’ experience of leading and delivering transformational large-scale change for the NHS, Local and Central Government, Education, Housing and the private sector. This has been achieved by developing and delivering complex change programmes which have driven increased economic and social value.
Paul Fiddaman
Group Chief Executive, Karbon Homes
Paul is the Group Chief Executive of Karbon Homes.
Paul trained as a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse before joining Sunderland Football Club in 1992, becoming Company Secretary and General Manager.
Paul first joined the social affordable housing sector as a board member in 1993 and has held a variety of senior roles in housing since then.
Paul is currently Chair of the Northern Housing Consortium and a Placeshapers board member. He is also Vice Chair of Clanmil Housing Association, and Chair of the Retrofit Steering Group of the North East England Climate Coalition.
Sandie Small
Sandie Small has led the Bank of England’s Head of Operations Command Centre since October 2018. Accountable for the smooth operation of the Bank’s Data Centres, Sandie and her team help protect the Critical National Infrastructure which support key systems and applications. She also has a critical role within several of the Bank’s major technology transformation programs, most notably the replacement of the iconic Real Time Gross Settlement service which settles over £650bn sterling payments every day, and the migration of the Bank’s data centres into cutting-edge fit for the future facilities.
Sandie has previous held technology roles at Readers Digest, Thomson Reuters, MF Global, Aviva Investors, and HSBC.
Sandie offers a unique perspective on the industry, having developer her career from an entry level technician and developed a broad understanding of technology, people and managing cultural change. Her expertise and experience has made her a recognised subject matter expert in organisational transformation and complex technical deliveries.
She has always believed in the strength of a network, leveraging and building her connections to help others reach their full potential. Alongside her day job Sandie is currently training to be an Executive Coach. Sandie is a keen public speaker, passionate about sharing her career story, knowledge and advice to encourage and enthuse a more diverse pipeline of future technology talent.
Sandie has won numerous awards and was recently named as one of the TechWomen100 in 2020.
She is a proud mother and dedicated Aunty to many and in her spare times, enjoys spending time with her family.
Argiri Papathos
Argiri joined Catalyst in July 2021 as Director of Governance and Compliance. She is supporting the organisation to deliver its core business activities in a way that is compliant with relevant regulation and legislation. Her career has been focused in social housing and local government where she has led on building teams and inspiring high levels of engagement.
Prior to joining Catalyst, Argiri led multi-disciplinary corporate services teams, including Company Secretariat, People, Information Technology, Data Governance, and Business Transformation for the Salvation Army Housing Association, Estuary Housing Association and Southend Borough Council. Argiri’s accomplishments include revitalising the approach to internal customer care, resulting in efficient services and improved satisfaction.
Argiri’s experience includes appointments as non-executive director and member of the Audit and Risk Committee for Origin Housing, Advisor to the Audit Committee for the Royal College of Nursing and mentor with the Leadership 2025 charity. Argiri is a Fellow of the RSA.
