Kevin Sexton

Chief Executive, Mersey View Learning Trust

Kevin Sexton is the CEO of Mersey View Learning Trust, overseeing six schools, including special provisions. He also serves as Interim Headteacher at Blue Coat School, focusing on governance, HR, and leadership strategies, and as Executive Headteacher at Chesterfield High School, where he has worked since 2012. Kevin is a Governor at Linacre Primary School and actively contributes to several local authority boards across Merseyside, including groups on serious organised crime, youth offending, and emotional health. 

He delivers Early Career Framework (ECF) and National Professional Qualification (NPQ) training, working with the National Institute of Teaching and the Rainbow Teaching Hub. As an Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM) assessor, he supports schools in fostering inclusive environments. Kevin has extensive teaching experience, having held leadership roles in schools across Durham, Knowsley, and Hackney, and previously ran a Teaching & Learning Consultancy in Ireland. 

Before teaching, Kevin worked in training and development within the NHS and served as NUS Vice-President, leading on student welfare. He is currently focused on establishing a Multi-Academy Trust to improve educational outcomes in his local community.

Tangy Moran is an Independent Non-Executive Director with global expertise in risk management, fintech, and governance. She served as a Senior Advisor to the Bank of England’s Prudential Regulation Authority , providing strategic insights on capital, liquidity, and operational resilience. Named in the 2023 and 2024 Powerlists of influential individuals of African descent in the UK, Tangy advises fintech start-ups and speaks internationally on sustainable finance and DEI. She holds key advisory roles, including Deputy Chair of the AI Ethics Initiative for the Lord Mayor of London, and is a contributor to Black and Great: A Workplace Toolkit.

He has been consulting and recruiting for the not-for-profit and public sector for over 19 years and is passionate about helping organisations tackle challenges whilst balancing customer needs and maintaining commercial viability.
