The intersection of race and gender is often overlooked in the quest for progress. While society has recognised women’s rights as a crucial part of achieving equality, there seems to be a barrier to identifying those same rights amongst GEM (Global Ethnic Majority) women. Women often find themselves being squeezed between the intersection of oppression where more than one marginalised group is directly targeted. This is what we call “intersectionality.” At our upcoming leadership roundtable, we will discuss solutions and strategies to help support women of colour in the workplace.
Date: 7th September 2023
