Angela is Chief Executive of North Star Housing Group. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing and holds an MBA and has a number of Non-Executive Director positions.

North Star operates in the North East and works in many highly deprived communities. As well as general needs and older persons housing, it provides significant numbers of supported housing for a wide variety of needs. North Star has a strong track record in regeneration, community support and finding creative solutions to challenging housing issues. North Sar has invested significantly to create a culture that is trusting, relational, collaborative, and strongly people focussed, ensuring decision making and influence are available to all. This has led to its IiP Platinum accreditation (first in the sector), and IiP Platinum UK employer of the year award and CIH landlord of the year in 2021.

Chief Operating Officer, Aster Group

Emma O’Shea joined Aster Group in April 2020 from Peabody Group and has 20 years’ experience in operational and strategic leadership. With experience across multiple organisations both as an Operational Director and as a senior business improvement consultant, Emma has led a number of large-scale transformation programmes, creating long-term business sustainability. 
 
Emma is responsible for Aster Group’s customer operations and oversees a large directorate of over 1,500 colleagues who provide services to Aster’s customers across the south of England and London. This includes delivery of the organisation’s in-house repairs and customer service team. She is also responsible for the Group’s property investment strategy ensuring that customer’s homes and communities are safe and well-maintained. Emma has responsibility for the Groups’ Technology, Transformation, Data, and Sustainability teams who are transforming the way Aster works and modernising the way the housing association delivers services to its customers.

Sarah leads the social housing practice at NSCG where she connects her clients with flexible talent that helps deliver substantive and sustainable change; shaping their organisations for the changing requirements of the customer base. As a business psychologist with over 20 years’ experience, she works closely with clients to find and develop the right people to drive business outcomes.

Digital Transformation & Culture Change Consultant, Former BBC Head of Change

Currently working as a Consultant, Coach and Exec Producer in content, digital transformation and cultural change, Sarah’s career has followed a ‘Bridget Jones to W1A trajectory’.

Currently Exec Producer for the Changemakers Programme and Podcast for the International Broadcast Conference in Amsterdam this year, Sarah is a former BBC TV and radio reporter and newsreader, turned live events producer, turned Head of Change. Recently part of the team focused on the Future of Work for the BBC and lead Change Manager in establishing the BBC’s Digital newsroom, Sarah is also Co-Founder of A Life More Extraordinary, a Trustee for youth wellbeing charity Soulscape and a Champion for 2to3 days.com.  Sarah has interviewed Prime Ministers, Exec Produced and reported a series of mini-docs on the Abolition of Slavery from South Carolina, Filmed the BBC Events guide from a zipwire, produced the Big School Trip to the Olympic Park and flown Pudsey bear into a theme park by helicopter for an outside broadcast!

Passionate about people, content and change, she is a creative leader and coach with a ‘can do’ attitude and a track record for getting stuff done whilst having plenty of fun along the way! In her other- equally rewarding and exhausting role as Mummy, Head of Fun and Exec Assistant to Oliver (8) and Gracie (6) and Ginny the spaniel (2)– Sarah is busy questing for the ultimate cocktail of sense of humour, wellbeing and work-life balance/collision!
