The rapid development of AI is raising urgent questions about ethical and consumer protection issues—the recent A-levels fiasco has revealed the socially toxic consequences of algorithmic bias-deeply damaging for those whose marks have been downgraded, most of whom come from socially disadvantaged backgrounds.
