It’s expected that the number of people aged 50-70 will increase to 13.8 million by next year which begs the question of what role they will play in the workforce. Unfortunately, it seems that these older workers are likely to be discriminated against in favour of younger candidates even though they have so much more experience.

Why is there still an air of ageism among UK workforces? And how can we tackle it? This is the focus of this roundtable discussion, and we are excited to be bringing together a panel of esteemed speakers to guide us through this important conversation.

We’ll discuss how organisations can best support older colleagues in a fast changing work environment – especially when they’re making late-career pivots to adapt to modern requirements. This is a topic that doesn’t get enough attention and we hope that we can start to catalyse the sorts of conversations that help to move the needle for those older workers who can still add tremendous value.
