Difficult conversations
1st December 2022 | 15:00 – 17:00

The BLM movement has taken the world by storm over the past year and with all the focus on this issue, some white colleagues have become a bit fatigued with the discussions, because they aren’t actively affected by discrimination on a day-to-day basis. We risk losing their support if we aren’t able to win over their hearts and souls once more.

In this roundtable discussion, we’ll talk about how to keep those allies on our side, how to maintain the momentum that we’ve created, and how to teach our white allies about the realities of what black people deal with daily.

As with all of Connex’s events, this is an honest and open discussion that might be uncomfortable – but it’s one of those dialogues that are crucially important. We need to work together if we are to improve the situation, and that starts with understanding one another. We hope that you’ll join us for this one!
