BLM: A Year On. What Has Changed with Race and Workplace Diversity?

difficult conversations | 5th May 2021 @ 14:00

The untimely death of George Floyd and a renewed spotlight on systemic racism last May placed  high-profile corporate pledges to the test, prompting businesses across the world to pledge their commitment to combat racism and seek out inclusion, equity, and justice.

Executive leaders and boards are continuedly scrutinised by stakeholders who hold companies to account on their commitment to diversity and inclusion at every level. Now twelve months on, have these corporate pledges stood the test of time? How have corporates ensured that they stay committed to addressing racial inequalities in their workforce?  In this roundtable  we’ll find out how our leaders have challenged the status quo about racism and prejudice in their lives and in their organisations, and how are they using their positions of power to drive change during the last twelve months. They will also share the steps being taken in their businesses to ensure BAME voices are being heard and represented on their boards, executive teams and organisations in general.
